• EXAFS and XANES analyses of atomic and molecular structures of different materials (sol, gels, nanomaterials, thin films, catalysts, ceramics, quasicrystals, macromolecules, environmental samples, …).
• Use of x-ray absorption methods in developement of different thechologycaly important materials and drugs, in environmental research, in preservation of cultural heritage and in other fields.
• Multielectron photoexcitations in free and bound atoms.
• Atomic absorption background in EXAFS spectra.
• Development of new XAS techniques (high temperature absorption cells for monatomic vapours and molecules, …)
