The national science research and development prizes of highest importance

On Monday, 23 November 2009, the awarding of the Zois Awards and Prizes, the Ambassador of Sciences Prize and Puh Prizes took place at the Linhart hall at Cankarjev dom in Ljubljana.

Among the recipients of the the Zois Prize, which is the national science research and development prize of highest importance, was also Doc. Dr. Irena Avsenik Nabergoj, member of the School of Humanities at the University of Nova Gorica and Faculty of Theology at the University of Ljubljana. The prize was awarded for the achievements in literary sciences.

The Puh Prize for inventions, developments and application of scientific results in the development of aerodynamic devices has received Doc. Dr. Gregor Veble, member of the School of Applied Sciences at the University of Nova Gorica and the head of development in the Pipistrel company
